ACTIVE VOCABULARY AND STRUCTURES (production): Simple Greetings: Hello… I’m…. Hello, everybody. Body Parts: heads, arms, legs, nose, mouth, ears, eyes, shoulders, knees. (these are pre-taught with TPR) ALSO ANIMAL PARTS (for recognition): trunk, beak, wings Adjectives: Tired (recognition), little, big, long, short Animals: rabbit, fish, elephant, parrot Food Items: a pear, an apple, a carrot, an orange Colours: red, green, yellow, blue, purple Bye bye… STRUCTURES AND VOCABULARY THAT WE PRESENT FOR RECOGNITION: Questions: “Where is the zoo?” “Is it there?” “Can you see it?” “Is it here?” “What can you see?” “What is it?” “What colour is the elephant?” Let’s + verb: Let’s jump, walk, dance, sing, fly… etc.. Let’s + verb + object: Let’s eat ice-creams; Let’s play music; Let’s sing a song, etc. Prepositions: to I’m + adjective. e.g.: I’m tired Can: I can see an elephant. Can parrots swim? Can elephants fly? Can rabbits jump? Miscellaneous: Magic box Activities: Mime games with adjectives and instructions; singing the Zoo song: “We’re going to the zoo, zoo, zoo.
