FARM FUN
Vocabulary Themes Here are some of the basic items presented in the show “Farm Fun”. Any new vocabulary which is essential for understanding the story is pre-taught, usually through mime or TPR. Remember that the show is interactive and the kids themselves perform in the show, but besides this our shows also have a deliberately repetitive pantomime style in order to drill structures and vocabulary throughout the performance.   “FARM FUN”  ACTIVE VOCABULARY AND STRUCTURES (production): Simple Greetings: Hello Dialogue: “Do you want (some water)?”                    “Yes, please”                   “Here you are”                   “Thank you” Vegetables and fruit: tomato, pear, pumpkin Colours: red, yellow, orange, green Bye bye… STRUCTURES AND VOCABULARY THAT WE PRESENT FOR RECOGNITION: Adjectives: sad, happy, thirsty Verbs: run, jump, sing, dance, plant, grow, water Questions: What are you doing? Do you want some water? Activities: running, jumping, singing, dancing Love to: I love to run, jump, sing, dance Like: I like running, jumping, singing, dancing. I’m + adjective. e.g.: I’m sad I’ll + verb: I’ll grow Can’t: Flowers can’t sing Commands: Stop it! Don’t move! Miscelaneous: flower, seed, baby, sun Activities: Mimes – kids mime actions with the actors; singing the flower’s Hello Song: “Hello, hello, hello Hello, hello, how are you?” Becoming vegetables – kids dress up as vegetables and grow when they are watered.
